How can I recycle my waste for free with TerraCycle®? Follow
Our free recycling programmes are sponsored by brands, manufacturers, and retailers around the world to help you collect and recycle your hard-to-recycle waste. There are several ways you can use the recycling programmes, depending on how involved you would like to be. Once you have decided what waste you would like to recycle and which recycling programme it is accepted in, you can do one of the following*:
- Drop off your waste at a public drop-off location
Simply go to the programme page and click on the interactive map to find your nearest public drop-off location. No TerraCycle® account is required, just be sure to check the opening hours before you drop off your waste.
- Set up your own public drop-off location
If there are no public drop-off locations near you, you can set up your own. This way you’ll be able to collect lots of waste from your community and earn TerraCycle® points (when your parcel meets the minimum weight requirement) that you can redeem for donations to the schools, charities and Non-Profits of your choice!
- Collect at home as a private collector
If there are no public drop-off locations near you and you cannot set one up yourself, you can collect at home as a private collector.
*The free recycling programmes don’t always offer the same options; please check out the programme pages for more details.
To become a TerraCycle® collector and get started, please click here to create an account. Once you have filled out your registration details, you’re ready to join the free recycling programmes! Please have a look at the helpful labels above the free recycling programme names to easily identify, at a glance, how the programme will work, for example, if there are spaces for you to join or if you will need to drop off your waste.
But don’t worry, if the chosen programme is full and it’s not possible to join, please check the public drop-off location map as you will still be able to drop off and recycle your waste without joining the programme on our website.
